(Please note:  Don't be confused.  Details in this devotional DO NOT mean I am stopping my Cybersalt Sites Activities!)

I think it is safe to say that we have all seen geese migrating as the seasons change.  Every year these water birds search out better climes as they flee the advance of winter's icy grip or summer's consuming heat.  The method of travel is, of course, flight and the formation is a ?V?.

The ?V? flying formation provides an aerodynamical advantage for the whole flock.  Each goose flies a bit higher than the bird in front of it in order to enjoy reduced wind resistance.  This makes their effort at air travel much easier - a kind of bird business class.  Of course, for the goose at the front of the ?V?, there is no advantage.  They face the sky head on and bear the burden and extra effort of leading.  Fortunately for such leaders geese all take their turn leading their birds of a feather.

I'm mentioning all this fowl stuff so you will understand when I say I'm dropping back in the ?V?.  By the time you read this I will no longer be  . . .

I'm mentioning all this fowl stuff so you will understand when I say I'm dropping back in the ?V?.  By the time you read this I will no longer be the Associated Gospel Church's National Communications chair or webmaster.  King Solomon said it is a gift from God to find satisfaction in the work you do (Ecclesiastes 3:13) and I can say that, for the most part, bearing this role has been very rewarding.  But, after approximately 9 years, it has become clear to me that it's time to vacant the front of the AGC communications ?V? and let someone else lead.   I even have an idea about who should succeed me ? you!

Yes, you!  Why not?  You don't know how to use a computer or run a web site?  OK, then, maybe not you.  But don't rest too soon.  If not National Communications what else can you lead in the AGC or your church?  Pray and look around you and be open to what God will lead you to.  You see, the ministries we are all a part of don't just happen.  If you think they do, then I can say with confidence you aren't doing your part in the Body of Christ.  While others work so you can be blessed, take on your part so others can be blessed too.

Take your place in the ?V? formation.
