Adam and Eve started it...no, GOD started it--it was HIS idea.  He took a rib from Adam's side and made Adam a helpmate.  It was a BONE, not a CLONE...and I LIKE His creative idea.  I DON'T like science's idea...and apparently President George W.  Bush doesn't either - check the news link below!

You see, God made man in His own image; He designed a helpmate for Him, bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh...a separate, lovely human being called woman, "taken not from his feet that he might trample her, but from under his heart, that she might be protected and loved by him."

And THAT's how God knows you--and me--today...individually, uniquely, specially designed as "one-of-a-kind,"
born to love and serve the Lord.  He knows when we're up, He knows when we're down.  He knows when we rejoice, He knows when we grieve.  He knows us more completely than any human will ever know us; He knows us better than we know ourselves...and He loves us still!  What an awesome Creator--you and I are His unique handiwork...no carbon copies...there's ONE and ONLY ONE of you--and me.  Aren't you glad??

So forget the fax machine and the duplicator and the double-or-nothing discoveries of science...I'm delighted with God's ORIGINAL idea, how about you!

Lord, I'm made in Your image--I'm "one-of-a-kind" and that's neat--but better yet, You KNOW me as an individual, unique in Your sight; You know everything about me and You love me still--thanks, Lord, for creating just ONE of ME!  In Jesus' Name, Amen."
