A number of people have been getting the following error message when trying to view YouTube videos on the Cybersalt sites.

"We're sorry, this video is no longer available"

This is not a problem unique to the Cybersalt Sites as people all over the net are reporting this problem.

Here are two solutions - I recommend you try both.

One cause of this problem seems to be a little program called "Google Web Accelerator." This is a program that many people are using to speed up their web surfing. Apparently it works well for some, but it is currently messing up many people's ability to view YouTube videos (which is ironic since Google bouth Youtube some time ago). If you are using Web Accelerator, try turning it off and see if that helps things. Regardless of if you use web accelerator or not, please read on to my second suggestion.

Another cause of the "We're sorry, this video is no longer available" message you are getting may be whatever was not working on the office computer at my church. I don't know what the problem was and we weren't running Web Accelerator, but we could view no YouTube videos in Internet Explorer browser. However, when I tried to view the same pages in FireFox browser, everything worked just fine and we could view any of the videos we wanted. This also explained why I had no problems viewing YouTube videos at home where I always use FireFox browser because it runs faster on my computer. I suggest you give Firefox a try since. It is free, didn't mess me up with the YouTube videos, and I also find it does a way better job of displaying web pages as they were meant to be viewed. I like it way better than Internet Explorer all around. To download and try FireFox, just click on the following FireFox banner:

BTW, if neither of the above solutions works for you, please let me know so I can look even further into this.

I use a Mac and can't run either Google Web Accelerator or Internet Explorer, and my Firefox browser (as well as Safari) both frequently show me the "We're sorry" message in a number of the YouTube files ref'd by CyberSalt. Not all of them, mind you, just a few, and it doesn't seem to be a regular, predictable pattern. smilies/sad.gif

I'm running firefox, I have no GWA, and up until yesterday, every video worked fine. Yesterday, all videos worked for about twenty minutes, and then I started getting the message. Today, none have worked at all. I tried clearing my history and deleting all temp files and every other suggestion i've heard, including re-installing flash.

if you have any ideas, please let me know.
thanks a lot

Hello Tim,

I was told the solution for this is to:

- Go into Control Panel
- Go into Internet Options
- Go Into Connections
- Click Lan Settings
- Uncheck "Automatically Detect Settings"
- Click Apply/Okay

This works for highspeed users so I am told, I have not verified this yet.

Cya,
Rob Turner
