"I had to surrender my 'if only' to Jesus."
- Corrie ten Boom
A speeding motorist was caught by radar from a police helicopter in the sky.
An officer pulled him over and began to issue a traffic ticket. "How did you know I was speeding?" the frustrated driver asked.
The police officer pointed somberly toward the sky.
"You mean," asked the motorist, "that even He is against me?"
"Joey, what's the matter, you can't bring me home any flowers once in a while at least?" sniffed his wife. "Before we were married you were always bringing me little presents."
"Honey, tell me," asked Joey, "does it make sense a man should give worms to a fish after he catches it?"
"To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize."
- Voltaire
Once again I get a poem,
About some miserable person,
Whining about his life,
And he meets a bunch of "poor disabled people..."
And the poem ends with him
Wrapped up in his thankfulness for what he has that I "don't."
