~~ A good marriage must be created. ~~
In the art of marriage, the little things are big things....
It's never being too old to hold hands.
It's remembering to say "I love you" at least once each day.
It's never going to sleep angry.
It's having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together, facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is not only marrying the right partner, but also being the right partner.
A wealthy old man looked around the table at his two sons and five daughters and their spouses gathered for a family reunion.
"Not a single grandchild," he said with a sigh.
"Why, I'll give a million dollars to the first kid who presents me with a little one to bounce on my knee. Now, let's say grace."
When the old man lifted his eyes again, his wife was the only other person at the table.
