Inspiration

I am a 3-tour veteran of Vietnam and frown on body piercing (anywhere).

As I was approaching Vietnam by air in our squadron, I looked down at the jungle and although I couldn't see anything going on, I knew there was danger there.

I tried to pray, but my mind was so taken up with what was going on, I couldn't. The only prayer that I could come up with was,

"Lord, I know you made me with the exact number of holes that you wanted me to have. I ask you to let me leave Vietnam with the same exact number!"

While my son was on board the Navy carrier USS GEORGE WASHINGTON, the air wing was busy with training missions.

After talking to a pilot, one air-traffic controller accidentally left his microphone on and remarked to a nearby buddy, "That guy sounded just like Elmer Fudd."

The airwaves got strangely quiet as everyone listened, realizing that the pilot had also heard the comment. After about ten seconds, the pilot broke the silence by announcing,

"Be vewy, vewy quiet. We are hunting submawenes."

It's not easy caring for elderly parents and relatives, and if you are doing so this may not be the easiest video to watch. But, it is a great reminder that like little children, we only have our elderly parents for a short while and that during that time we can imitate the sacrifice they made for us - or even make the sacrifice we wish they had.
