Sunday greetings, everyone!
Though you will read this news on Sunday, I am typing it on Saturday night as I usually do to get the mailing lined up to go out later while I am sleeping. This week, however, it is extra important for me to get everything typed up and ready because later tonight the men's group from our church is going to an ax and knife throwing business. It's so much easier to type while I have all my fingers!
Today's video share is of a 3 year-old violinist: it was just too cute to not share!

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
We are back to warm (for us), wet weather here at Cybersalt World Headquarters. While not everyone's cup of tea, the rain is a beautiful friend to those of us who don't like to shovel snow!
Today's video share is an honest look at an issue of fairness that so many cultures struggle with.

Sunday greetings, everyone!
This September 28th will be 27 years since I started the CyberSalt Digest. Over the years, the digest has led to so many fun, interesting, and blessed interactions with subscribers – and, well, a few not-so-pleasant ones too. One of the most amazing stories happened in January of 2009 when I received the following email:
Hello Tim:
I have subscribed to your Cybersalt digest for a number of years now and it has been a source for many illustrations for my sermons. I have enjoyed the digest and it has been the source of many smiles and laughs over the years. Imagine my surprise when I open your issue dated January12, 2009 and see a smiling picture of my son and his fiancé. We are so very excited about their engagement. And I really appreciate having Alyssa's blog. It is a pleasure to get to connect with you this way although I have probably had e-mails from you before Matt even met Alyssa.
It is such a small world.
Best regards,
Glen

Oh look, Chicken Thursday!
I was at a Chamber of Commerce meeting last evening. There was a random draw for all in attendance, the prize being a brand new washer and dryer combo. My ticket was 7 away from the winning number. I was disappointed to not win, but they did feed me brisket and chocolate cookies so in the end it was a wash!

Sunday greetings, everyone!
I recently realized that instead of groaning when I bend over to pick up something off the floor, I now groan before I bend over to do the same thing. It's almost as if I am giving my body a courtesy warning to get ready for what my brain is about to tell it to do. Here's the thing: Grandma Cybersalt does not groan before or during picking something up. I suspect she doesn't even groan in her head, probably because she does stretching exercises. I guess I should probably do some stretching exercises myself before I reach the stage where I groan when I am not even going to bend over!
Today's video share is a much needed pick me up of laughter from a couple who are trying to be dead serious.

We've had snow in the air (or on the ground) at Cybersalt World Headquarters since Saturday night. It's always nice for a snowy change of scenery in the neighbourhood, but Grandma Cybersalt are already over it, lol. On the plus side, the next rainy day we get is going to to feel so warm!
Today's video share is of this professor who really likes this spinning disc!

Sunday greetings, everyone!
It snowed at Cybersalt World Headquarters yesterday, for the first time since the middle of January 2024. To celebrate and enjoy, I have changed our front garden LED lights to rotate through Christmassy colours - just because!
Have you ever had the nightmare where you walk across a stage and sit down at a grand piano in front of a huge concert crowd, expecting you to play, and suddenly realize and panic, "I don't know how to play the piano." But then you think that if you start to try it might come to you - and then realize that isn't going to happen and how cooked your goose really is!. Maria Joao Pires, an accomplished pianist, experienced something similar when she showed up to play with an orchestra and heard them start playing a different song than the one she had practiced! Today's video share captures the early moments of what turned out to be an amazing performance.
