"Whom do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?...And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Matthew 16:13,17.
Eighty one times in the Gospels Jesus refers to Himself as "the Son of Man." It was the name He used for Himself, almost in place of saying "I" the disciples, never addressed Jesus with that name. To them Jesus was, above all, "the Christ, the Son of the living God."
This is the miracle of the ages. In one person Jesus Christ, "the Son of God" was the Son of Man." This is the mystery of the ages! God permitted His only Son to be humbled as the child of a lowly mother. "He made Himself of no reputation, but took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men." This is the hope of the ages! For "I believe that Jesus Christ, true God, begotten of the Father from eternity, and also true man, born of the Virgin Mary, is my LORD, who had redeemed me...not with gold or silver, but with His holy, precious blood and with His innocent suffering and death."
Christian friends, What label do you put on Jesus Christ? If you agree that He is who He claimed to be, then let Him who is the center of history be not only the center of your creed but also the object of your loyalty and love.
What think you of Christ? is the test To try both your state and your scheme; You cannot be right in the rest Unless you think rightly of Him.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Your decision about Jesus determines your destiny.
