"Humble yourselves, therefore, under  God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. " 1 Peter 5:6,7      

Some have said this is a century of fear and an age of anxiety. Are you ever anxious and cumbered with a load of care? The apostle provides a remedy.    

"Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God," he tells us. Much anxiety stems from the fierce competitive struggle to get ahead. Humbly recognizing our limitations, we should develop and use our God-given abilities to serve our neighbor and God. If, like our LORD, we live not to be served but to serve, we will have no time to worry about keeping ahead of the Joneses.    

"No one seems to care what happens to us,"  you hear many say. But they should know that they are not alone with their problems; the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. However, others in similar worry producing predicaments have discovered how God helps us overcome the things we worry about.    

Christian friends, Your well-meaning friends might say to you; Don't worry, forget it. But the apostle give sounder counsel:   "Cast all your care on god, for He care about you." God cares, for He is "the God of all grace who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus.    

Jesus shares your worries and cares                                                                     You'll never be left all alone,                                                                                             For He stands beside you to comfort and guide you,                                      He always looks out for His own.  

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - God cares about our cares because He cares about us.
