"For them I sanctify Myself, that they too may be truly sanctified." John 17:19

  The LORD Jesus is leaving His disciples behind in the world to do battle against the forces of evil, to be the salt and light of the world. He sends them into the world on a mission of life on earth. What kind of example has the Captain of our Salvation set for them? He can honestly say that He has kept Himself holy, set apart for His great task, even to the end; through all the attacks of Satan, the sacrifice on the cross for the sins of the whole world and made us holy. The Captain of our Salvation has not only made us holy, He has set us perfect example of complete dedication to duty.

  Christian friends, Tomorrow is Pentecost. God willing, we shall awake to a new day. We pray that the Holy Spirit may open our eyes to His ever-new mercies and fill our hearts with gratitude which will overflow into a new day. Let us in faith and love follow His example as we go forth to do battle in the world. By His power, let us continue to carry out our mission, and be the salt and light of the world. His prayer will be answered if we keep faithful to the end.

Press on in your mission for Jesus,                                                                     Spurred on by your love for the LORD;                                                                       He promised that if you are faithful,                                                                         One day you'll receive your reward.
