"Ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations, that the trial of
your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth,
though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and
glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ."
- 1 Peter 1:6,7
The person who suffers will grow stronger if he is attentive to what
the LORD is saying. I remember C.S. Lewis saying, "God whispers in our
pleasures, but shouts in our pain." The LORD must sometimes force us by
means of distresses to pay attention to His voice. While such times of

If we refuse to become bitter, we will learn the priceless lessons of grace that adversity can bring.
Misfortunes never come alone for the Christian; God always come with them. It is wrong to pray "Our Father" and then to fret like orphans whenever the Father sends a rod by which He would lead us to a spirit of submission to His will. If you feel that the trials are coming too fast and are too heavy to bear, take your dictionary and look up the word "obsolete." Then remember that the time is coming when these two words, trial and afflictions, will be obsolete.
Christian friends, If you're undergoing a test of your faith, you can rejoice because it may be the very thing that God wants to use to purify and strengthen you.
In the trials God may prove us
Just to bring us forth more bright;
He can never cease to love us
We are precious in His sight.
