Overconfidence underestimates the power of temptation. It tends to toy with it instead of firmly resisting it. Thus one person feels that he has nothing to fear from unchastity. He is above it and with impugnity can see plays that glorify lust. He does not realize that he is fast becoming an easy victim of temptation.
Christian friends, We must watch and pray and arm ourselves for every occasion by putting our total trust in God. "God is faithful" and He will give us the strength to keep from falling.
The hand of God protects our way
When we would do His will;
And if through danger we must go,
We know He's with us still.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - God provides the armor, but we must put it on.
