"And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."
- Matthew 18:20
Just before Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave His disciples directions for carrying on His work after His physical presence would be removed for the earth.
Jesus told His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. We should go forth. It makes no difference whether it is next door, or across the nation, by the grace of God, we are privileged to cross the ocean for Him. this is our task.
Jesus said we should baptize in the name of the True God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But baptism is not to be the end, but the
beginning of the Christian life. We are told that we should teach all men of all nations to observe all things whatsoever Jesus has commanded. We should regularly examine God's Word to find there the teachings which we need for life here in time and the promise of life here-after in eternity. We can be certain of success only because He promises to go with us and be with us always, everywhere.
Christian friends, We never walk alone. We have the promise of His presence: "Lo I am with you always" 'I will never leave you or forsake you." This should move us to be mindful of His presence in all that we do and say. If we believe that the Holy Spirit lives in us, we will depend on Him to help us. Then we will have a growing awareness of Christ's unseen presence.
The unseen presence of our God
Surrounds us day by day,
And when we're blocked by evil schemes,
He opens up a way.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - The Christian's heart is the Holy Spirit's home.
