"For who has despised the day of small things?"
- Zechariah 4:10
In a workshop of an artist was a poor lad whose task it was to clean
the floor and tidy the room after the day's work. One day the lad asked
for permission to save the bits of glass that were thrown upon the
floor. The artist readily granted the request.
Several years late the artist went into the store-room which was rarely
used. There behind the rubbish the artist discovered what he regarded
as a masterpiece. Inquiry revealed that the lad had made it after
working hours out of the pieces of glass which had been thrown away.

Life is made up of many tasks, some of them looked upon as small. Out of them the believer builds a service which he offers in gratitude to the Savior, who died for him.
Take our daily routines which seems insignificant. But out of it, the family, working in a partnership of love, make their home a place of happiness and training for the larger life in this world and that which is to come.
Christian friends, let us stop excusing our part of God's plan by thinking it is too small or by saying our talents are too insignificant. Our limited ability and God's unlimited power make an unstoppable pair.
God often uses lowly things
His purpose to fulfill,
Because it takes a humble heart
To carry out His will.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Little things become great things when done in God's power.
