Today we honor the faith of Christian fathers, through whom God blesses
families. What a blessing faith filled fathers can pass on to their
children or whom ever God puts in their path. Take stock of yourself
and consider your child, your time and your thoughts are his due; how
would you answer God should He ask. "What sort of father are you?"
You don't have to meet a man face to face to know what kind of father

The respect that children have for their parents can be a good indicator of how much respect they deserve. It would be a great tragedy in life if a father lost the respect of his children. But nothing makes the heart beat faster than when a child points a father out in a crowd and says proudly, "That's my DAD!"
Fathers, remember that never before in all history have your children needed the individed interest and attention of loving parents as in these days of a polluted moral and spiritual atmosphere. With the help of God's strength and wisdom, determine to be the kind of parent whose child is proud to say, "That's my DAD!" Thank the LORD for loving fathers--an image of His love for us.
A father who emulates God
Is one who is faithful and true;
And if he is honest and strong,
His children will follow him too.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Good fathers not only tell us how to live-they show us.
Prayer for the day - We pray for human father's everywhere this day LORD. Work in the hearts of people a new respect for fatherhood and a deepening realization that every child is meant by You to have a "DAD" Give to fathers the gifts of patience, love, understanding, and joy in their role as a parent. Strengthen our homes so that children may grow up secure and strong in love; in Jesus' name. Amen
