"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
- 2 Timothy 4:7
All of us would like to have our loved ones reach a ripe old age, but
that really isn't the most important consideration. I would much rather
have a few fruitful years than to be given a long life, only to waste
it by living solely for the pleasures of this world. It's the quality
of our days here on earth, not the quantity, that counts for eternity.
Don't make longevity your greatest aspiration. Instead, ask the LORD to
help you run the race well, no matter how. . .

Life claims our best, God would not have me waste
A single day in selfish idle woe.
I fancy that I hear God bid me haste
Lest I should sadly falter as I go.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - The true measure of life is not its duration, but its donation.
