HOLY TRINITY SUNDAY
This is the day the LORD hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Deut. 4:32-40 2 Cor. 13:11-14* Matthew 28:16-20 Psalm 33:1-12
God made Himself known to us through Holy Scripture. God reveals to us that He is eternal, always was and always will be, ONE God, yet THREE separate Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
"Hear, O Israel, the LORD, our God is One LORD." "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." This revelation we accept by faith. We are unable to comprehend this truth.
"The grace of the LORD Jesus Christ be with you," This grace sent Jesus to the cross to pay in full for our sin. It is undeserved on our part, and this grace puts peace and hope into our hearts.
"The love of God be with you all." Before God could be our Father, His love had to find a way to bring us back through Jesus and His redemption. This benediction reveals to us God as a loving Father in Christ Jesus.
Christian friends, The communion (fellowship) of the Holy Ghost be with you all." We have entered into a new partnership, sharing the blessings of forgiveness and salvation with all believers. In this benediction the Holy Spirit binds us together into one family in this life and in heaven. To understand God in impossible, but to worship Him is iperative.
Holy, Holy, Holy, LORD God Almighty Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee; Holy, Holy, Holy, Merciful and Mighty God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity.
PRAY WITH ME: Almighty and everlasting God, since You have given us, Your servants, grace to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity by the confession of the true faith, and to worship the true Unity in the power of Your divine majesty, keep us also steadfact in this true faith and worship, and defend us ever from all our adversaries; for You, O Fathr, Son, and Holy Spirit, live and reign, one God, now and forever. Amen
