God our Father,
As we enter this new year in quiet reflection may we be fully aware of who we are in Christ Jesus.
We bravely submit to all that You will reveal to us as we seek to grow daily in Your grace, releasing regrets from the past and trusting Your perfect will for our future.
Help us to be fully present in each moment, with an attitude of gratitude for the faithfulness of Your provision. By Your Spirit, quiet our racing thoughts as we take time to be still before You each day.
Empower us to live a life of integrity, devoted to choosing what is better, honouring one another with tenderness, and building up in love.
We graciously accept the gifts of joy and sorrow, valuing the lessons learned from celebration and lament.
Make us instruments of Your love, with open hands and extended arms, to give what we can, where we can, with generous and compassionate hearts.
We pray for the wounded, the lost, the lonely, and the least. May we serve as instruments of Your peace, with a vision to see the hidden hurt in others.
Make us instruments of Your grace, offering forgiveness and acceptance, speaking gently, only after we have listened well.
We pray for our broken, divided and weary world, remembering especially those experiencing suffering and persecution. Make us instruments of reconciliation, mediating with wisdom while offering comfort.
We pray that we will hold strong and fast to the truth that You are always with us, remembering that Your love is wide, high, deep and long and nothing can separate us from that love.
Father, teach us to walk humbly and courageously, serving You and others with our whole hearts, souls, minds, and strength.
In Jesus Name, with thanksgiving, we pray,
Amen
